Borders, Procedures and Rights at Röszke: Reflections on Case C-924/19 (PPU)

On 19 December 2019 the Administrative and Labour Court of Szeged in Hungary referred a case for a preliminary ruling to the Court of Justice (CJEU). The case raises important questions regarding the conformity with EU law of the asylum and return procedures that the Hungarian authorities conduct at the border transit zone between Hungary and Serbia, at Röszke.
