On 16 July 2020, the European Court of Justice published its judgment  in cases C-133/19, C-136/19 and C-137/19 concerning the interpretation of the right to family reunification in cases where applicants reach the age of majority during the course of proceedings.

On 14 July 2020 the Tribunal in the Hague (‘Rechtbank Den Haag’) ruled (in case NL20.6683) that the ‘Chain Rule’, which was previously embedded in Article 20 (2) of Dublin II Regulation, is no longer reflected in the current Article 29 Dublin III Regulation.

On 13 July 2020, the Supreme Administrative Court (the SAC) published its judgment (Case KHO:2020:88) concerning the refusal to grant international protection status on the basis of the applicant’s political opinion and activities.

On 2 July 2020, the Federal Administrative Court published its judgment (Case E-3021/2020) concerning the failure to provide procedural guarantees when assessing the asylum request of an alleged unaccompanied minor.
