The Committee of Ministers recently updated its table documenting the status of execution of ECtHR judgments, during its 1324th meeting. The table included decisions on two asylum and migration-related cases:

In its decision regarding the execution of Chowdury and others against Greece, the Committee focused on the situation of human trafficking and forced labour victims, requesting that the Greek authorities provide information on the way criminal legislation around human trafficking is interpreted and implemented, as well as statistical information on victims in Greece. Regarding the specific case, the Greek authorities were invited to ensure that all applicants are identified as labour exploitation and trafficking victims and are effectively protected.

In M.A. against France, concerning a person’s removal despite the ECtHR’s interim measure indicating its suspension, the Committee encouraged the domestic authorities to continue to take all possible measures to remedy the consequences of the violation, and to provide information on the situation of the applicant.
